Deenagh Lodge is a beautiful thatched cottage that was built in 1834. It is located at the entrance to Killarney National Park and opposite St Mary’s Cathedral. The thatch consisted of river reed and being hollow, it offered excellent insulation ensuring the house was warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
